Description
An easy, safe, ecological and economical alternative to pads and tampons!

'*That* time of the month just got far more manageable. I am so glad I found the menstrual cup! I feel so much cleaner, more comfortable and more confident when I'm having my period and I get fewer urinary tract infections and yeast problems!'

The menstrual cup is inserted into the vagina to collect menstrual fluid rather than absorbing it like a pad or a tampon. Made of 100% medical grade silicone, this particular cup can be used for up to 10 years if well looked after.

BENEFITS:
No health risks related to the use of menstrual cups - unlike tampons which carry the risk of Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS)
Almost no odour as the menstrual fluid is not exposed to air
Cheaper - use one cup for up to 10 years
Environmentally friendly - There is no need to dispose of all those pads or tampons which can cause an environmental hazard
Better Capacity - The smallest cup has a greater capacity than the largest tampon, and because the fluid is not in contact with your skin you only need to change when full, or every 8-12 hours rather than every 2-6 hours.
Less irritation - Tampons tend to absorb the natural vaginal fluid as well as the menstrual fluid and pads and tampons often contain all sorts of chemicals and this irritates the skin which increases the likelihood of urinary tract infections and yeast infections. Many women who swtich to cups report a drastic decrease in UTIs and yeast infections.
Less cramping - Irritation of the skin in the vagina caused by a tampon often makes menstrual cramping worse, so many women report that their menstrual cramping decreased once they switched to cups.

This cup comes in two sizes –
Size 1: a smaller one for those under 30, or who haven't given birth vaginally
Size 2: a larger one for women over 30 or those who have given birth vaginally.

They also come in two colours, pink and white as pictured here. Please specify colour in the ‘Note to Vendor’ box on checkout.
